We did lots of photos in the other rooms, while my Mum and Dad sat having a cuppa in the lounge. Then Monica said that a group photo just had to happen…! Gwen was a really good friend of mine for many years but we’ve lost touch now.

Photographic response to the absence of QTIPOC visibility in the permanent collection at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. It was inspired by one of the only pieces of black queer history in the collection: a photograph by Rotimi Fani-Kayode from 1987 entitled "Under the Surplice. Shot and styled by an all-black creative crew.

For more than two years, a team of lcoal members from the community worked with Queer Curator E-J Scott to make the Queer the Pier exhibition at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. The ethos was that it was to be an exhibition about the community, by the community.

This image set depicts the cover, front and back, and cassette tape of Siren’s music release ‘Siren in Queerstreet’. It shows a list of the 13 tracks on the cassette, which included songs from some of the plays as well as songs composed by various members of Siren, and performed by Siren band. The tape was recorded at Newhaven Boys’ Club and at Real Time Studio Billingshurst. Cover photo by Susy Taylor. This cassette was a mixture of home recording done by Deb Trethewey on a two track Sony reel-to-reel tape recorder, as well as some professionally recorded tracks at recording studios.

This is a flyer/postcard for the literature festival Coast is Queer. The festival is the biggest LGBTQ+ literature festival in the UK. This flyer is from 2024 when the festival happened at the Attenborough Centre at the University of Sussex. The festival has such a welcoming and calming atmosphere, and it is amazing to experience being around so many authors and readers.

The show took place from Thursday 19 May to Sunday 22 May 2011. Ticket prices were £8 full price and £6 concessions. Contains strong language and sexual references.

Traumfrau started in April 2012 at the TUBE, but by the autumn of that year it had outgrown its first venue and moved to a larger space, The Haunt.
